In one of Hape’s most ambitious licensing initiatives, I led the creation of the 2026 launch of The Met x Hape—transforming an early concept into a global product program that continues to expand. I championed the opportunity to unite one of the world’s most prestigious museums with Hape’s educational play expertise, then drove the vision, strategy, and execution from initial pitch through retail launch.

Over the course of the program, I led the development of 17 co-created products spanning multiple play categories, while aligning stakeholders across Hape, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, international license teams, and retail partners. I established the product vision, negotiated contracts, drove key creative decisions, guided design and packaging, built the collection’s digital presence, and managed the complex approval process required for a world-renowned cultural institution.

The 2026 launch successfully established The Met as a meaningful player in the children’s toy category, gaining distribution across more than 20 countries and over 200 U.S. retailers—including The Met Store itself. The program has continued to build momentum through new product introductions and expanded retail placement, creating a long-term licensing platform that blends fine art, education, and play.
