In early 2017, Baby Einstein was preparing for two major initiatives. They were not only redefining the brand and packaging, but they were also planning to enter the toddler toy category in 2018. As the design lead for product, as well as a key contributor to the brand strategy, I knew that it would be crucial to have a cohesive vision for the visual execution of the product line.

I formed a cross-functional group including Product, Trend, and Brand designers that set off to define a consistent design language to both tie the products together and reflect the brand of Baby Einstein. Over a 6-month period, I guided the team to simultaneously develop this design language while also designing the product line, thus fusing form and function.

The end result is a line of products that stands together and delivers upon the brand promise of “Inspiring Curiosity”. The resulting design language is currently in place for all Baby Einstein products going forward.
